Founded in 2009 in Bandar Lampung. Fifteen years, fourteen countries, and three flagship single-origins that consistently satisfy international quality benchmarks.
When Nusantara Spice Co. was established in 2009, the industry problem was clear: Indonesia remains one of the world's absolute epicenters of spice cultivation, yet international wholesale buyers frequently struggled to source with bulletproof consistency, clear chemical specifications, or aligned import documentation.
We launched as a local black pepper warehouse operations directly within Bandar Lampung — positioning our sorting facility right at the focal bottleneck of Sumatera's pepper belt. By forging long-term direct-buying contracts with smallholder farmers in Lampung Barat, we offered buyers a single point of accountability.
Recognizing this need for other high-value crops, we replicated this exact sourcing model on the volcanic soils of the Banda Islands (for nutmeg) and Ternate, North Maluku (for cloves). We are not middlemen brokers. We are the processing exporter, packing our own certified lot reserves directly for your ocean freight.
Every product we ship carries full farm-to-container documentation. We know which farming cluster each batch came from, what inputs were used, and what the test results showed. This is not optional — it is our baseline.
Our quality team grades and tests every batch against the same specification before it leaves our facility. If it doesn’t meet the spec, it doesn’t ship. Our repeat buyer rate reflects this.
We stay current on EU MRL requirements, USDA NOP standards, and phytosanitary documentation requirements — so our buyers don’t have to chase us. When regulations change, we notify buyers before they notice the change.
Our export team responds within 2 business days — not weeks. We communicate in English, provide documentation in formats buyers actually need, and don’t disappear between order confirmation and shipment.
